Meet Hayley Richards of Hayley Richards Photography in League City

Today we’d like to introduce you to Hayley Richards.

Hayley, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
As a child, my mother was a freelance photographer. I was her main focal point in life and art. She inspired me with her artistic abilities and creative nature. Our household was filled with music, food and art. My 1st Polaroid camera was a big hit at the ripe age of 5. I used film like it was going out of style… HA! Soon enough, I moved up to a point and shoot camera which I carried everywhere with me in Jr. high. My high school years were fun, scary and wild. My first son was born my junior year in 1999. He was the best thing that ever happened to me! I graduated high school early in 2000 and immediately landed my very 1st photography job for CPI a.k.a. Sears Portrait Studio. I was 17 years old doing what I loved, it was amazing! I continued to enjoy studio photography for another 1o years until it was time to move onto bigger and better things for my little family. I began working for a contractor(s) at NASA Johnson Space Center as a SPICE Data Manager and pursued my personal artistic side of photography every chance I got (that means nights and weekends). Now, another 10 years has gone by and I focus on natural light photography. I love to capture the raw, reality of people and nature. It makes my heart sing. I currently book anything from families to events, to mini sessions. After all these years, a large family of seven, and all my friends and families encouragement, I couldn’t be more proud to capture images for everyone to enjoy for a lifetime.

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc. – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
Life is a struggle, but you keep going!

So, as you know, we’re impressed with Hayley Richards Photography – tell our readers more, for example, what you’re most proud of as a company and what sets you apart from others.
I specialize in natural light photography in Houston, TX and surrounding areas. People and nature are my cup of tea. I enjoy capturing those unplanned moments, as well as milestones you never want to forget. I am most proud of my clients and fans. If it wasn’t for them, I wouldn’t be where I am today creating all these amazing images. Every artist has a personal style and when you finally hone in, everything else is a piece of cake! I cherish every photo-shoot like family. My clients are what bring my creativity to life.

So, what’s next? Any big plans?
No big changes coming yet, but my future dream would be to make Hayley Richards Photography a full-time career.
