Meet Allison of Sweet Paris Creperie & Cafe in Central and West Houston

Today we’d like to introduce you to Allison.

Allison, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
Our mission at Sweet Paris is to revive the art of eating crepes and it all really did start with a crêpe craving! We searched in Houston for the type of crepes and experience we yearned for and frustrated, decided maybe we could create it ourselves. We found our amazing first location in Rice Village and really built the concept from scratch there. We were so warmly welcomed by our guests who became our most powerful fanbase. Thanks to them and crepes later, we were able to open our second location at CityCentre in January 2015. This year in 2018, Sweet Paris is slated to open 4 locations, and we are so excited! The core of our experience, ambiance, and food will remain the same, but you will see an evolution of the design in these upcoming stores. We also strongly believe in building in a social cause into our business from day 1. We are currently partnered with the World Food Program USA to donate one school meal for every crepe purchased from the WFP selection.

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc. – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
Well, in the last couple of weeks before opening our Rice Village store, we still hadn’t decided if we were going to serve our crepes in cones (European street cart style) or plated. Ultimately, we decided to beautifully plate our crepes, which has become a signature of the Sweet Paris experience. We love the idea that our guests can sit down and enjoy a beautifully plated crepe and conversation and be momentarily transported out of the hustle and bustle of Houston.

So, as you know, we’re impressed with Sweet Paris Creperie & Cafe – tell our readers more, for example, what you’re most proud of as a company and what sets you apart from others.
Sweet Paris Creperie & Cafe is a restaurant group currently with 3 creperies between Houston and Mexico and slated to have 7 by the end of 2018 in and around the Houston area. We are a fast casual crepe concept that aims to revive the art of eating crepes. We exhibit our crepe creations in an open kitchen, and our dining rooms are bright, airy, and chic. We are proud to have created a place where our fans bring their friends and family to show them a unique experience in Houston. We look forward to spreading the crepe love around Houston and beyond in the near future!

Houston is an incredible city to start a business, particularly a restaurant! The diversity of our great city, the willingness of our guests to try new things, the friendliness of our neighbors, and the incredible cooks and hospitality team members all are a perfect recipe for a fun and lively restaurant experience. Crepes appear in various ways in many cultures, all of which are represented in our melting pot. We aim to use our crepes as the vehicle to deliver decadent and nostalgic flavors for all our fans.
