Meet Dominique Yvette Lanier and Brittney Marie Gardner

Today we’d like to introduce you to Dominique Yvette Lanier and Brittney Marie Gardner.

Every artist has a unique story. Can you briefly walk us through yours?
It was January 7, 2016, when Brittney (who had been engaged since December 2014) called Dominique with the news that she was ready to set her wedding date and to request her for help. Dominique was in disbelief that Brittney and her now husband wanted to be married in 10 days but was up for the challenge.

Dominique and Brittney used what Dominique learned planning her wedding to plan and design a beautiful wedding for 100 people in 10 days. Brittney’s wedding was such a success, and we were so proud of our teamwork. Most importantly we fell in love with wedding planning and designing. Shortly after, we decided to start a wedding planning business together.

When we started our event planning business a little over two years ago, we knew that we would love running a business. Still, we knew it would take more than love to make our business successful. We wanted to know all about how to be the best weddings planners. So, we read tons of business books, learned from the pros, and went back to school for a year earning our Certificate in Special Event Planning.

During this time, we had one wedding in the books, Dominique was a stay at home mother assisting her husband with his healthcare startup, and Brittney was working as a project manager at a procurement firm.

Fast forward to today. We have planned, designed, and produced 3 destination weddings, three local weddings, and two baby showers. We have also planned and designed ten styled shoots. One styled shoot is featured in the spring/summer 2018 issue of Modern Luxury Weddings Houston. Lastly, we are in the process of expanding our business with a Dallas division.

We love the relationships we have built with both our clients and vendors in the industry. We love the journey of creating a successful business, and we are looking forward to all of the wonderful experiences and lessons along the way.

Please tell us about your art.
