Today we’d like to introduce you to Erika Geier.
So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
My husband about 6 years ago bought me my first Camera. I knew I had a love for art but once I started snapping away I just fell in love. I started off taking pictures of family and friends and now I busy doing photography full time and couldn’t be more grateful.
Has it been a smooth road?
When I decided to start my own photography business I was also working full time. It hasn’t always been easy but with the support from my husband, I am now running my photography business full time. The struggle is real sometimes when you are trying to find new clients but I am lucky that once someone does work with me they always come back. Word of mouth is also something I hear a lot from new clients and I can’t tell my clients enough Thank you for that!
So let’s switch gears a bit and go into the Erika Geier photography story. Tell us more about the business.
I am a natural light photographer that offers just about any session you can think of. From newborns to weddings I do it all. I specialize in lifestyle newborn sessions and maternity milk bath sessions. I’m proud of my work as I keep striving for the next big thing and my photography business has allowed me to not have an 8-5 job.
Where do you see your industry going over the next 5-10 years? Any big shifts, changes, trends, etc?
I believe in the next 5-10 years I will be booking more weddings and possibly have a studio of my own.
