Meet Bill Fitch of Staging Solutions

Today we’d like to introduce you to Bill Fitch.

Bill, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
I started in the industry working for a Mom and Pop AV Company when I was 19 delivering and setting up overheads, flip charts, slide projector, etc. Maybe I actually started in High School in Theater.

I starting working for a large AV company in 1987 and ventured out on my own in 1997. I realized that equipment companies had too many limitations and so did one of my key clients, Compaq Computer Company. Compaq provided me with projects that not only allowed me to start my company but also allowed me to take the next step and the next step and the next step in increasing my skills and knowledge in production in the industry.

Realizing that equipment was a limitation and that the solutions lay in picking and choosing key providers with the best equipment I turned my attention to the most important aspect of my business and any business – People.

Hiring the best and brightest in the industry has been the key to our success without a doubt. The company grew from two employees in my house, of which my wife was one, to more than 30 by the time we found our office in the Heights. We now have 44 co-workers in our main office and another 8 outstanding individuals in our new office in our GRBCC operation.

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
I’m certain that any company that reaches the 20-year mark hasn’t had its trials and tribulations. One of our biggest challenges came after the horrific act that took place on September 11, 2001. Staging Solutions suffered its first slow down in its 4 years of constant growth.

2008 set us back like it did many businesses, but being nimble and versatile carried us through those tough times.

Please tell us about Staging Solutions, Inc.
We craft experiences that bring value to brands and engage audiences. Do you look back particularly fondly on any memories from childhood?
Everything that surrounds High School Theater.

    Bill Fitch is one intelligent and ingenious Man . He is a real killer with people . They or attracted to his know how. Plus he has the best heart . He is a REAL giver . Lovely Company Lovely Man.
