Today we’d like to introduce you to Eliza Moreno.
Eliza, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
From a very young age, I was an avid painter – mostly acrylic on canvas. I fell in love with painting because it allowed me to express what I couldn’t say in words. One day, I found myself questioning if I could do the same with makeup, that’s where it all started!
I started creating all types of looks on myself and spending hours researching and teaching myself everything I know. Friends and family would constantly encourage me to start “freelancing” but I pushed this back while I attended college.
Finally, in 2016, I decided to pursue my dream and started freelancing as “Touch of Artistry”. Since then, I have met so many people, I have been involved in so many projects and have been published twice!
I am extremely grateful to everyone who has worked with me, to my clients, friends, and family who continue to support me.
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc. – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
It’s been a little bit of a struggle, there are so many makeup artists in the industry now. Back in the day, pursuing a career as a makeup artist wasn’t known as a career path – hence me attending college.
The only advice I can give other women is to keep pushing, take any opportunity that comes your way. And also, do something that will set you apart from everyone else; be a pioneer! Don’t be scared to take risks!

“Highlight your inner beauty” that is what Touch of Artistry stands for. I want to empower women to feel beautiful without and with makeup – to see makeup as a tool to enhance the beauty that is already there.
What sets me apart is that I specialize in all type of makeup styles, from natural to dramatic to creative makeup – even a little Special FX. I want to be a diverse artist and not confine myself to one style.
