Meet Tracee Seals of Tracee Seals Speaks

Today we’d like to introduce you to Tracee Seals.

Tracee, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
My story started about 10 years ago when I was working in the For-Profit education industry up and down the East Coast and just seeing how this part of Corporate America was ran and I needed a change from that industry. I was giving so much needed structure to the industry and learning so many new tools. This is when I had my “Aha” moment and decided if I could consult all of these executives on how to run this company and they are making so much more money than I am. Then I can do this within my own company.

So, I moved back to Texas and got a job in another educational industry since I could not very well form a company without any money and I still needed to survive and have money to invest for my company. I worked part-time and went to as many networking and chamber events as I possibly could. Then the opportunity came for me to work part-time with another company and I was the Regional Coordinator for Houston, Galveston, and Austin. traveling doing educational speaking engagements for Ovarian Cancer.

So now I am working two jobs and still trying to get my company off the ground. I had to place my goals of having my business on standby due to the demand of my travel schedule and work obligations. During this time I met a young lady on Facebook and she posed a question and I answered it. This was the creation of my other business Elevating Women Empowerment Group, where we hold Network Marketing events to highlight new business owners. But I could not let my dream child not be birthed so I I left the speaking series to form TraceeSealsSpeaks, LLC., which is my consulting and brand management company.

I work with individuals on their business development needs, branding and marketing, as well as certifying their business. Most of my clients are individuals such as myself that have chosen or have been booted out of Corporate America and Indie Artist. My speaking engagements now are more so geared towards proper branding for Independent Artist, Public speakers, Pod show host and Comedians. As well as strategies to ascertain sponsorship for their platforms.

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
My road to where I am today has not been smooth at all. I had to make “Real-Life” decisions especially since I choose to finance my own start-up cost. So the choice had to be made downgrade my luxury vehicle or borrow the money.

Well, since I really did not want to hold up to a long-term obligation. The Benz had to go and a cheaper more economical car was purchased. The next obstacle was after Hurricane Harvey, everyone was still trying to reconcile their lives back to normalcy. My client based tapered off, So I had no other choice but to yet again return to working more hours for someone else or lose everything.

Tracee Seals Speaks LLC. – what should we know? What do you guys do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
TraceeSealsSpeaks, LLC; specializes in the Business Development and Brand Management for Independent Artist, Public Speakers, Poets, and Comedians. Individuals seem to think that I am a Public Relations professional. I am far from that. I give my clients insight and strategies on how to treat their platform as what it is a business. So we can discuss anything from how to get sponsorship or legal formation of the business to licensing opportunities.

I am known for getting my clients to the money! I like to work with individuals who are not afraid to think outside of the box. I am most proud of the opportunities to discuss what I do and when my clients give me that shoot out of gratitude. I have one two Entrepreneurship awards locally and one honorary award.

I believe what sets me apart is I will mentor my clients through the process and my availability to them. I also make sure that I am very transparent. I will tell them if it sounds unrealistic, it probably is.

What is “success” or “successful” for you?
I personally define success as it’s not the awards or accolades that one is given, its the impact and substance that is received by others with your product or service that one is providing.

I have always believed in making a “Blueprint for Success”, is what I have defined it as. If we can map out our goals, obstacles, and contingencies. Then when something is thrown our way we have built up an inner resiliency to overcome it.

I tend to look out for downward trends in the economy for the industry my clients are working in and I also look for what is new and innovative that may assist them.
