Today we’d like to introduce you to Lora Koleva.
Lora, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
I loved photography from a very young age and I went on to study it in New York during my junior year of high school. I then went on to university and graduated with a Bachelor’s of Fine Arts degree in Photography from The Art Institute of Houston, and I was excited to start my own business in a field that I love. My love for boudoir photography started with interest in fine art and how beautiful the human form is. I wanted to bring that artistic beauty into my photography and so I began photographing boudoir and fine art nude photography. I saw how my clients felt confident and beautiful and I wanted to continue bringing that to others.
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
There are always challenges when starting your own business, but I’m proud to say that I have been able to overcome and push myself to be a better photographer, business owner, and person through what I’ve learned along my journey. I have been able to become a better business owner for my clients and offer them more opportunities to create beautiful photography that they are able to cherish forever.
Alright – so let’s talk business. Tell us about Forever Boudoir Photography – what should we know?
One of the best parts of my job is that I am able to work with all different types of people from all walks of life. I love helping women feel confident, sexy, and empowered and I see that in each of my clients. The idea behind Forever Boudoir Photography is that my clients are able to have a boudoir shoot that is tailored to their unique style. No two sessions are the same and that keeps it exciting for me as a photographer and also helps me give my clients the best of my talents and work with their ideas to create beautiful and timeless photos. I’m always excited to see where my clients will take me with their ideas and what new things we are able to create together. Forever Boudoir is known for classy and elegant boudoir photography. Whether a client wants a more romantic, soft photography session or something a bit more risqué, I’m able to deliver elegant photos that capture their unique natural beauty. When a client comes in for a session I want them to feel at home in the studio, I have worked hard to create a private and comfortable environment where they can feel relaxed and spend the day with girlfriends and enjoy being pampered, after all when a client comes in for a session it’s all about them and their needs. I want my clients to be excited to come in for a shoot and know that they will be taken care of.
Is there a characteristic or quality that you feel is essential to success?
Determination. Being a young business owner people often try to deter you from following your dream, but being determined and remembering that I’m able to make my clients feel confident and empowered helps me continue pushing to be more successful every day, and go on to build a business that can continue to cater to more clients. Even though there have been and will continue to be challenges my strong determination and love for photography will continue to help me through any challenge in my way.

- Silver Package – $400 and includes: complimentary in- studio consultation, hair and makeup not included (can be purchased additionally), a 60-minute boudoir session, a private in-studio reveal and product selection, and 10 retouched digital images on a flash drive that clients can take home the day of their reveal.
- Gold Package – $675 and includes: complimentary in-studio consultation, hair and makeup by one of my professional hair and makeup artists, a 90-minute boudoir photography session, private in-studio photo reveal and product selection, a 5×5 deluxe photo album included, and 20 retouched digital images on a flash drive that the client receives the day of their reveal.
- Platinum Package – $1,150 complimentary in-studio consultation, hair and makeup by one of my professional hair and makeup artists, 120-minute boudoir photography session, private in-studio reveal session and product selection, 8×8 deluxe photo album included, and 30 retouched digital image on a flash drive that a client receives when they come in for their reveal session.
