Thanks for sharing your story with us Monse. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
About eight years ago no one ever thought I’d be doing nails. My biggest motivators are my kids Eliane, Evin, Scarlett and my husband Joey. They have always pushed me to bring the best in me. “Couldn’t” doesn’t exist. I’ve always worked hard to get to where I am at right now in life. Nails & Art isn’t just a hobby or job it’s the way I show my talent. There are so many Nail Technicians out there that inspire me. So in reality I can’t just name one.
My greatest work hadn’t come out until my husband and I decided to open up our very own small business back in 2016 in a small town called Raymondville, TX. That we can say was our greatest achievement. We named it “Bella Vita Nails” it meant Beautiful Life Nails… Which I related too. I brought life to my customer’s nails. I’ve really never limited my work to any type of design or style. Whenever I do nails I feel so confident and relaxed. I’ve always enjoyed everything about it.
Although I’ve closed down my business about two years ago to become a full time mom. And to move to Houston temporarily. I do continue my work from time to time.
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
I honestly can say if you’re willing to learn and achieve your goals then do so. Nothing is ever handed to you. I’ve had to work my way up. Just note anything is possible if you push yourself where you want to be in life.
Alright – so let’s talk business. Tell us about Bella Vita Nails – what should we know?
I specialize in acrylics, gel manicures, and waxing. I am well known for my freestyle nail art. All I need is an image or description of what the customer wants and I’ll do my best to duplicate it on to the nail.
Is there a characteristic or quality that you feel is essential to success?
As a nail technician I listen to what the client wants. Every client is different. Some clients like natural nails and others like over the top nails. By that I mean over the top can be defined as, that they prefer a lot of designs, a lot of Swarovski crystals or 3D flowers etc… Which I love adding on. I do enjoy taking my time. I hate rushing and doing a sloppy job. I am known for having a lot of patients when doing nails, I believe that it’s something you have to have in order to do a great job. I love learning what the new in is in nails.
