Today we’d like to introduce you to Rongrong Devoe.
Rongrong DeVoe is an international fashion artist. She is originally from Qingdao, China. She worked as a concept artist in Shanghai until 2009 when she decided to move to NYC to pursue her Masters in Illustration at the Fashion Institute of Technology. Her time in the sleepless fashion capital of the world further convinced her to chase the dream she has had since she was a small town girl in China. After graduation, she worked as a fashion designer for three years at major fashion companies in Manhattan before deciding to quit and begin living her dream job creating fun fashion illustrations in her Houston, TX studio.
Rongrong spends a lot of her time dreaming about the perfect vacations, the chicest outfits, and spreading positive vibes through her illustrations. She loves to express her dreams and vision through her art … there is nothing like creating something new from your mind and seeing it come alive in the sketchbook!
Her illustrations have been featured in InStyle, Vogue, Buzz Feed and more. Her clients include Chanel, Dior, Neiman Marcus, Target, Maybelline New York etc.
Has it been a smooth road?
There are lots of struggles. One is about being a Chinese native, I spent a lot of time getting used to the culture in the US and language especially how to communicate professionally in business.

My company is Rongrong Illustration. I specialize in fashion, beauty and lifestyle illustration. My work is known as the colorful, chic and fun illustration that inspiring women to celebrate life.
Most proud as a company is I am grateful my personal story and my illustration inspires others to chase their dreams.
My brand mission is Rongrong is a stationery and lifestyle brand founded by fashion artist Rongrong DeVoe and based in Houston, TX. The brand is focused on empowering women of all colors, sizes, and shapes. They celebrate life in a fashionable, chic way.
The illustrated ladies are fun, confident, caring and love wearing colorful, trendy outfits while conquering the world … but this realm is not just for fashionable ladies! Her world would not be complete without fun and colorful patterns, sweets and coffee, cute animals and beautiful nature. These are essential for the fun and colorful world we all want to live in!
I want to use my illustration to spread love, joy, and empowerment.
How do you think the industry will change over the next decade?
More people will be doing the similar thing. More female entrepreneurs. More collaborations, less competitions.
