Hey there! I’m the founder and CEO of Glam Me Beauty Services! Born and raised in Houston, TX and a graduate of Lamar University with a BS in Psychology and MPH.
I’ve always had a passion for all things in the world of beauty. I started doing my own makeup in the 7th grade due to early puberty. I used makeup to enhance my beauty and help with my self-esteem. For the longest, many people told me how great of a job I’ve done on my makeup and that I should do makeup part-time. Recently, I decided to leap out on faith and start my own beauty services business, Glam Me! I provide services such as customized wigs, makeup application, microblading, and brow tinting, shaping and design.
With Glam Me, my mission is to enhance the beauty and increase self-esteem with various services.
Has it been a smooth road?
It hasn’t been the easiest ride because there are so many women that offer the same services that I do I’m Houston, especially makeup. It’s a little challenging building up your clientele especially when there are plenty of established makeup artists in your area. The advice I can give other women that are wanting to pursue a dream of being in the beauty industry is to definitely push your business, no matter if there is a lot of competition in your area. Everyone offers different services and you have to give your clients a reason to want to come to you. Remember your biggest competition is your self. Lastly, keep God first and stay focused on him and he will bless you tremendously!

I am a developing Makeup Artist and I provide different beauty services such as customized wigs, makeup application, microblading, as well as brow tinting, shaping, and design. I am most proud of my accomplishments being a service provider; enhancing the beauty of my clients and increasing their self-esteem, even if it’s for one day by utilizing my skills learned in the beauty industry. I have had many clients who were amazed and astonished about how beautiful they looked after I did their makeup. What sets me apart from others is that I am very detail oriented. I like to take my time and provide each client with the absolute best personal experience and service. Also, I pride myself on the professionalism, efficiency, and flexibility I provide for my clients. I cater to all demographics and skin types!
Finding a mentor and building a network are often cited in studies as a major factor impacting one’s success. Do you have any advice or lessons to share regarding finding a mentor or networking in general?
What has helped me to network with others within the industry is my drive to always learn. I am constantly observing new techniques as well as maintaining a good knowledge of different equipment and technology that will further improve my efficiency as well as the experience for my clients. Through the use of social media, conferences, and various forms of communication between others who share similar career goals I am able to network in a beneficial way.
