Texas Hookah was started in 2007 as an online hookah company by Nimesh Patel. We specialize in hookahs, shisha flavors, hookah charcoals, and hookah accessories! Over the years we have expanded the business to include a retail storefront in the heart of Houston, TX at 8413 Almeda Rd. We have also opened a Vape shop right next door as of 2009, and Texas Hookah Lounge as of last year, 2016, right behind the store. The store carries products from all over the world and we also ship out to customers all over US and the world via online website. The hookah lounge is an exclusive lounge that offers hundreds of flavors from all different brands of shisha and is a nice place to hang out to study, work, chill or with a group of friends. We have a staff that is highly educated in all the products and can help with any hookah related issue.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
The company overall has always grown and hopes to be a strong foothold in Houston for many years to come. The higher fees with tobacco tax, shipping, and changes in federal regulations have had an impact on the business. We have structured the company to take less profit and keep prices low for our customers over the years to compensate for the changes and higher fees.

TexasHookah.com is a hookah and shisha retailer/wholesaler. We pride ourselves in offering only premium quality hookahs, shisha/tobacco flavors, charcoals, and hookah accessories. Texas Hookah was built to provide the VERY BEST PRODUCTS for the VERY LOWEST PRICE. From our personal knowledge and experience we are able to offer the very best quality of products.
What is “success” or “successful” for you?
We are always proud when we get good reviews from our customers. We are on all social media outlets such as Facebook, Google, Yelp, Instagram, Snap Chat, Twitter, etc. The positive reviews from our customers is what keeps us going and knowing how we are doing. Locally we get comments from customers who drive over an hour to come to our store. They come in from all areas of Houston such as Katy, Spring, Woodlands, Galveston, Baytown and so forth. A few times we have had customers from out of state and out of country come visit us because they have bought online with us and just wanted to see the store. Knowing that our name has gotten around makes us proud of the work we are doing in the hookah industry.
