Today we’d like to introduce you to Damien Lawson.
Damien, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
I started my company in March of 2015 after the ad agency I was working for went out of business. I wanted to become my own boss and gain financial freedom. To add, the only way for me to obtain financial liberation was to start my own company and put my livelihood in my own hands versus someone else’s hands. Moreover, I want to provide opportunities for people as well as empower and inspire other African Americans.
I used my own capital to start and grow my business and continue to do so today. I have relied on my patience, self-determination, focus and faith to get me where I am today. In addition, having positive energy, understanding this is a process and constantly learning fuels my inner spirit.
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It has been tough and continues to be a battle. The toughest part for me is getting clients and figuring out the most cost-effective way of getting clients. Also, differentiating your company from the competition. To add, learning not to over analyze things and getting out of my own way.
Please tell us about Three65 Ideas.
Three65 Ideas is a hybrid full-service marketing and advertising agency. Three65 Ideas will partner with you to create and execute a cost-effective advertising and marketing campaigns utilizing traditional, non-traditional, digital and social media channels and mediums.
Services include content creation and management, copywriting, media buying and planning, web analytics, consulting, brand creation and management, online or digital marketing, SEO, SEM, mobile marketing, video marketing, social media marketing and many more. I’ll work with any budget. I don’t have long-term contracts; my services are on-demand (get the services you need when you need them).
Furthermore, my services are like an a la carte restaurant menu (different services can be asked for separately rather than grouping or bundling services together). In addition, I work directly with my clients and welcome their input and treat them like a partner.
Do you look back particularly fondly on any memories from childhood?
Playing sports and hanging out with friends and family.
