Today we’d like to introduce you to Veronica Melgar.
So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
I grew up in Houston and got my degree at UH. I’ve always had an interest in entrepreneurship which led me into the business sector for several years after college. As a marketing director for a startup that reached over $2 million its second year, I witnessed firsthand the immense satisfaction of realizing your vision. At a company party, I saw a need to for a more personalized event staffing service. My desire to bring these unique options to Houston is what ultimately led to InnoEvent Staffing.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
So much goes into starting an event staffing agency. There is a lot to consider and so much you’re unaware of, so there’s definitely a learning curve. In addition, assembling a great team was no easy feat. Finding an experienced staff, people with great attitudes, and a passion for what they do was challenging. After countless efforts, headaches, and yes, tears- our team is now one we’re very proud of.

InnoEvent Staffing is a company that specializes in high-quality and personalized event staff. We provide waitstaff, bartenders, promotional models, brand ambassadors, greeters, and more. We service the Houston area, primarily. Our staff consists of industry professionals who are passionate about what they do. I strongly believe our success is credited to the great people that make up our team.
If you had to go back in time and start over, would you have done anything differently?
Through the years, we’ve really identified our core clients and services. In the beginning, when trying to appease everyone’s request, we spread ourselves too thin. Although we quickly learned and got through this obstacle, it could have been a lot easier if we had clearly defined our objectives early on.
