Meet Trelles Stamps of Caliste Cajun Pot

Today we’d like to introduce you to Trelles Stamps.

Thanks for sharing your story with us Trelles. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
I have been cooking all my life I’m the second oldest of 5 siblings. So I took on the responsibility of being an older sister. While my mom work, I would prepare dinner. All my recipes came from my Grandmother I would call her up for recipes. My Grandmother is one of the best cooks I know. Me getting a food truck was inspired by her. In 2012 I cooked for a potluck at work.

People started asking me to cook so I started selling plates at my job in 2013. In 2015 my Grandmother recipes inspired me to get a food truck. In March of 2017, I had my grand opening for Caliste Cajun Pot. It was all honored by my Grandmother I open right before her birthday. I wanted to make sure I accomplished this goal since my Grandmother just passed in January 2017.

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
No, it haven’t been a smooth road. I had times where my electricity stops running while working an event, another time my propane stop releasing gas while working an event. But through it all, I would change anything, because I know to own your own business come with work & I know God is just polishing me through my next journey.

Caliste Cajun Pot is a food truck/catering company that specializes in New Orleans Creole/ Cajun dishes. Caliste Cajun Pot is known for giving you that taste of home cooking whether you from New Orleans or not.

I’m proud to be a business owner! The thing that set me off from other is I love what I do! I love having great customer service. I love serving people & seeing them happy when trying out Caliste Cajun Pot.

Is there a characteristic or quality that you feel is essential to success?
I believe being a woman of God & haven’t faith in God with my life journey.
