Today we’d like to introduce you to Raven Bradley.
Raven, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
I originally started the Real Body Solution after watching the what the health documentary and all of my friends became fake vegans for a few months. While I incorporate a vegan diet into many of my meals, I really disliked how the documentary demonized Foods because eating animal products can be healthy in moderation. My aim was to create a community that made people conscious of the different forms of health and wellness outlets to begin their healthy lifestyles. As a soon to be Doctor of Chiropractic medicine, I also wanted to educated people on keeping their bodies healthy outside of the gym. And somehow from that I gave birth to the Real Body Solution, the anti-one size fits all solution!
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc. – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
Far from smooth! But if it was easy everyone would be doing it, right. I started my platform in the midst of my academic career in Chiropractic school, which I take nearly 32 hours of a courseload each semester. Outside of school, I work nearly full time and I like to occasionally make time to eat and sleep so I often put my blog on the back burner, knowing that things will happen and my platform will grow when it is meant to. When I know I don’t have time to take pictures or write, I will educate and uplift my audience on social media to make sure I am putting out content.
So let’s switch gears a bit and go into Real Body Solution story. Tell us more about the business.
I will be a Doctor of Chiropractic in the next 8 months, we specialize in the neuromusculoskeletal system with a heavy emphasis on spinal health. I wanted to be the doctor that kept people healthy without the magic pill or as my professors would say “we facilitate in achieving optimal health.” Upon graduation, I will be specializing in neurology, acupuncture, and rehab. Most of my classmates would probably expect me to specialize in sports because I love the movement and skill that the body is able to perform at such elite levels. However, I truly just want to help the general population. I consider everyone an athlete to some degree, moms, teachers and those in the corporate world, we all just play a different game.
Looking back on your childhood, what experiences do you feel played an important role in shaping the person you grew up to be?
Seeing my mom work as much as she did set me up with the mindset that I am always supposed to be working at something. She still had the time to drop me off at school and pick me up from practices and sporting events but I hardly saw that woman rest! I think that gave me the “no days off” mentality.
