Meet Asia Davis of King Kashmere’s Kreations in West Houston

Today we’d like to introduce you to Asia Davis.

Thanks for sharing your story with us Asia. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
I graduated from Texas Southern University in May of 2015. When one of my graduation pictures of my daughter and I went viral, I tried to think of ways to monetize of off the attention, I was always a creative person, so I began personalizing children’s items as King Kashmere’s Kreations. My business was doing okay but because I was dancing at the time, I not only wasn’t focusing on it like I should have been, but I didn’t have the time to be the mother I wanted because I was always so tired. It wasn’t until September of 2017 that I decided to leave the club and my business took off. I added my line “Mommy On a Mission” where I designed clothing and accessories for mothers. In January of 2018, I decided to start a full line of fitness wear that I named “Strong as a Mother.” It began to get complicated because all of the products were being sold from the same website. So, in March of 2018, I decided to start a full fitness line that I named “Shaped by Kashmere.” Both of my businesses are very lucrative and now, I work from home having a lot more time to spend with my daughter.

Has it been a smooth road?
There have been plenty of times when I had to decide between paying a bill or investing in my businesses. My businesses always come first. I have crazy faith to where I know that if I put my all into my work, I will be compensated in tremendous ways.

We’d love to hear more about your business.
My uniqueness sets me apart from others. When I’m adding new styles to my kid’s site or looking for more inventory for my fitness line, I work from a creative space, not competitive. So, my work always says Asia!

Is our city a good place to do what you do?
Because my businesses are online, I have the privilege of being able to market to customers all over the world. I’ve shipped to several countries including Kuwait, Canada, the UK, and the Cayman Islands.
