Thanks for sharing your story with us Ivory. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
It started when I was a kid. My family would have painting parties, with the boxes of Popeye’s chicken and drinks. Anytime a family member needed a facelift in their home, they would make a few phone calls and everyone showed up with the worst looking clothes on, a smile, hugs and ready to work. As kids we would all get involved as well, not knowing we were actually learning a craft.
Has it been a smooth road?
No it has not been smooth by any means.
1) Trying to get your name out there, and be recognized as a qualified painting company.
2) Learning your way around unfamiliar territories.
3) Going to countless networking meetings, even when I didn’t feel up to it. Also learning that all networking
meetings may not be beneficial to what you’re doing. Meeting with the right group who need your service, or can point you in the right direction.
4) Meeting new people, and separating who’s has your best interest and who doesn’t.
5) Sometimes it was truly discouraging. But if you quit, then it’s really over.

IDM Coatings & More is primarily a painting company. However we offer and perform many other services.
Such as drywall, basic electricity ( ceiling fans etc.) modifications, pressure washing, flooring, carpet instillation, sink, faucet, toilet, vanity, and counter top replacement, minor repairs, light carpentry work, light demolition work, and concrete work.
I am the owner, to the sales rep at this time. As I strive to build the proper team to be more effective in this industry.
I specialize in helping customers build their palette, and understand what it is to have the correct ambience in a
room or home.
I’m known for my integrity.
I’m most proud of companies and residential customers giving IDM Coatings & More the opportunity to service their homes or business. Also their recommendations that allow us to grow as a company.
I believe what sets me apart from others is, I’m personally a detailed person, which dominoe affect into the business. Being detailed is what makes the difference in a project, versus just doing just enough.
