Meet Inga Kervin of The Boho House Art Studio

Today we’d like to introduce you to Inga Kervin.

Thanks for sharing your story with us Inga. So, let’s start at the beginning, and we can move on from there.
I am in love with the art of transformation. Transforming things with my hands makes me feel connected to the world around me. Creating brings me such joy and peace.

Being creative is a direct line to my authentic self. I have always been a creative being… as we all are born to be. We create when we are children using the imaginary and the world around us. Too soon, we lose this part of ourselves due to conditioning and domestication. We succumb to social pressures and anxieties.

Just like many people I lost my sense of creative energy. With pressures of work, debt, relationships, material things and other internal struggles, I became dulled. All my senses dulled. I had forgotten how art and creativity connected all things.

About three years ago, I had a paradigm shift in my thinking. A change internally had occurred almost overnight. I started seeing the world like I was an innocent child again. I began to dream again, to create again and reconnect to my creative energies.

I started to gain momentum when I started letting go. I let go of ideas, anxieties, and social pressures. I even sold my car and began to ride my bike. Soon, I began to work part-time at my job to pursue what brought me the most joy, painting.

The Boho House Art Studio was then born. Born out of letting go, becoming vulnerable and honoring what brings me joy.

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
Just like any long journey. It can be scary and impossible at times. I many obstacles to overcome to make The Boho House alive. Securing money, contracting the construction, city permits, tons of red tape and tons of “what the hell am I doing?”

Realizing your dream seems so clear and easy. After all, we do compare ourselves and others with highlight reels of what we believe to be the journey. But we all know there are tiny struggles, and forks in the road every inch of the way.

Please tell us about The Boho House Art Studio.
The Boho House Art Studio offers: Classes, workshops, original art, custom art, pet portraits, yoga, rocks & crystals, wire wrapped jewelry and harem pants from around the world.

My mission is to awaken the creative energy that lays dormant within every being. I want to help as many people as possible to let go of criticism, expectations, control.

I offered guided intuitive painting classes that allow you to flow into a painting without worrying about the outcome. We are all capable of creating regardless of skill, talent or knowledge.

If you had to go back in time and start over, would you have done anything differently?
I wouldn’t do anything differently. I don’t believe in rewriting the past. Everything that has happened brought me to where I am now, and I am forever grateful!

Today, I went to the beachfront with my kids. I found a sea shell and gave it
to my 4 year old daughter and said “You can hear the ocean if you put this to your ear.” She placed the
shell to her ear and screamed. There was a hermit crab inside
and it pinched her ear. She never wants to go back! LoL I know this is completely off topic but I had to tell
    someone!
