Meet Tyler and Taylor Buford of Youth Impact

Today we’d like to introduce you to Tyler and Taylor Buford.

Tyler and Taylor, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
Tyler and Taylor started taking drama classes and participating in church events at a young age. They both enjoy entertaining and empowering others. One day Tyler and Taylor was playing around at home pretending they were on television. Tyler and Taylor’s mother decided to record them as they were playing and uploaded the video to YouTube.

The audience response was great. They didn’t have a name, so they came up with Youth Impact with Tyler and Taylor. For three yrs. Tyler and Taylor recorded a Power Word video once a month.

A Power word in a positive word that inspire and empower youth to be kind, smart, and positive. It’s amazing how one word such as  courage, joy, and greatness can impact someone’s life in that moment. Never underestimate the power of a positive word.

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
It’s rewarding to encourage and inspire many, but Youth Impact took a break from making power words videos due to their oldest brother passing away from having a heart attack in his sleep. Their brother was only 26yrs. His unexpected passing devastated the family.

Once Tyler and Taylor went through their grieving process they decided to start empowering youth again. They both agreed that their brother would’ve wanted them to continue inspiring youth through empowerment videos.  Here we are four years later, Youth Impact is still inspiring youth and young adults through inspirational videos and their own live radio show.

Youth Impact with Tyler and Taylor is a weekly Live Radio Broadcast on KOER-LP 101.5 FM at 3:00 p.m. every Saturday. Tyler and Taylor are awesome young people. They are my neighbors as we live in the same apartment building

More specifically, they are and were both students at my school where I am the Dean of Students. They are outstanding individuals….role models for the other students.

I wish I had 500 more students like Tyler and Taylor.

I would be greatly honored to be on their program one day.
