Today we’d like to introduce you to Rob Zambrano.
So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
It all started when I was in high school. I took some drama classes, and everyone said that I had a good voice for radio. So once I got out of the Marines and moved to Houston, I decided to give it a try. One thing led to another, and I ended up meeting enough people that I was able to find parts here and there. I’ve done just about everything, except voice work in film.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
Nothing worth achieving is ever going to be easy. I did come into this business with some prior training that I received in the Marines. I taught hand to hand combat for a number of years, so I was able to pick up as well as create fight scenes in the film. Some of the difficulties that I’ve encountered were balancing a regular life as well as life as an entertainer.
We’d love to hear more about what you do.
I specialize and am most know for in stunt work. However, I’ve created a little bit of a package deal when it comes to film. To go along with that, I also do Acting, Fight Choreography, Stunt choreography, first aid, prop weapons, Pads and I also do special effects makeup to round it all out. I try to make myself as a one-stop shop when it comes to film.
What is “success” or “successful” for you?
I don’t fear losing. The way I see most situations is “the worst they can say is no” hard work has a big factor as well as keeping good relationships. You can be a fantastic artist, but if people don’t like you, word will get around… and fast.
