Meet Susan Carol

Today we’d like to introduce you to Susan Carol.

Thanks for sharing your story with us Susan. So, let’s start at the beginning, and we can move on from there.
I’ve been writing and composing music since I was a young child. Life wasn’t easy growing up.

My father died when I was nine, and it left my mom and family in a dark place. We lost everything. Through it all, I continued to persevere and succeed.

I graduated top of my class and received a full ride to Texas A&M University. Throughout my time there I began to take my music seriously becoming Susan Carol’ – the artist. I made music based off of my past experiences and also the things I was currently dealing with. After college, I moved to Houston to fully pursue a career in music. Moving to a city where I barely knew anyone or anything about it was rough at first.

I learned so many life lessons and things about music, the business and how people can be. After a year of hardships, getting taken advantage of and working aimlessly I realized I needed to reassess and come up with a plan, so I did. I had to be independent and learn to take care of things for myself.

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc. – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
I’ve faced many struggles along this journey. From having people who I thought I could trust taking advantage of me, being completely ignorant to the knowledge of the in’s and out’s of the music business itself, to rejection and harsh criticism, I’ve been through it all.

One of the biggest struggles I’ve faced has been trying to juggle a full-time job and have a flourishing music career. It’s hard because you need money to fund the art but having a day job takes up so much of your time. Also, there’s the issue of having to deal with unprofessional people who don’t understand your worth and what you offer.

So let’s switch gears a bit and go into the Susan Carol’ Music story. Tell us more about the business.
We provide quality music, art, and musical services. We aim to provide an unforgettable experience.

Has luck played a meaningful role in your life and business?
Good luck and major blessings have played a huge role in the success of my music. Every great opportunity I received was from another opportunity that was randomly given to me by someone seeing me perform somewhere or hearing about me from someone.
