Today we’d like to introduce you to Lizette Hartman.
Lizette, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
My older brother encouraged me to try doing bridal makeup as he was doing at the time. I started shadowing him and learning how the business worked. I quickly fell in love with the interactions we had with the clients. I decided to give it a try. A couple of years into it, I enrolled at all Mitchell the school Houston where I received my cosmetology license in the state of Texas. I was quickly hired at a well-known salon chain, worked for a few months and decided the salon life was not a good fit for my lifestyle.
With my husband’s help, I started my own company Hart My Style offering hair styling and airbrush makeup services. Since then, it’s been successful!!
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It will never be a smooth road. Lol.
You will always have struggles and challenges but the key is to grow from it and remember to always be thankful for the clients you have and the hard work you put into your passion.
