Meet Kiani Komeizi of Kiani Realty LLC in Inside Loop

Today we’d like to introduce you to Kiani Komeizi.

Kiani, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
I still remember as a kid I used to draw and color houses. 11 years ago, I graduated from the University of Houston School of Architecture. After working for a few years in this field, one day I got laid off. It was a huge emotional toll, losing my job; something I was really good at, something I loved to do and a source of income that was now gone. I needed to get back on track and start finding a job very quickly, but I really didn’t want to go through the same experience again. Getting laid off was a really bad experience. I thought about starting up my own business and consulted my husband, who recommended that I pursue a Real Estate license. That’s how I started this journey, and I am loving every second of it. My architectural background allows me to help my clients achieve their dreams, no matter if they are buying their first house or selling a property to buy their dream house. Regardless of whether they are looking for an investment property or a project to flip, I can give them the vision and right advise.

Has it been a smooth road?
Life is full of ups and downs and I try to enjoy the ride as I go. I used to teach architectural courses at ITT Tech and they went out of business. I got laid off from my last job. Building a new business from scratch was not easy, but I feel like after all of these experiences I can go through whatever life throws at me.

We’d love to hear more about your business.
I buy/sell residential and commercial properties. This is not a part-time job or a hobby, I dedicate at least 12 hours a day into my business.

My architectural background sets me apart because I can help my commercial clients learn how to pull permits and start their business. On the other hand, I can help my residential clients learn how to remodel or visualize any modifications that they would like to create.

Is our city a good place to do what you do?
I am originally from Iran, but I call Houston my home. I believe Houston is one of the best places to live in and grow your business or to raise a family, and mainly because this is a multicultural city that recently became the fourth-most populous city in the United States. This diversity allows me to meet more people from different cultures and backgrounds. For those looking to expand their business, I strongly recommend considering Houston as your new home.
