Today we’d like to introduce you to Jah Mitchell.
Jah, we’d love to hear your story and how you got to where you are today both personally and as an artist.
It is just so very rewarding capturing those first experiences in parenthood. I was a portrait photographer for many years. After having my first child, I realized how important it is to have high-quality images of those first moments as a parent. My degree in fashion and love for children I believe was beneficial when it came to framing in time those first years of parenthood.
We’d love to hear more about your art. What do you do you do and why and what do you hope others will take away from your work?
My specialty is newborn photography. I am proudest when families see their finished galleries. They leave our time together knowing they will be able to treasure those moments and were able to capture a very special milestone in their child’s life. I believe with patience, attention to detail, flexibility to the moment, and passion for what you are doing will only strengthen your work/art. Your best work will come out.
How can artists connect with other artists?
I suggest online photography groups and local photographer meetups/classes. It is a great way to connect to other photographers in your area.
