Today we’d like to introduce you to Armando Aguilera.
Hi Armando, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
Everything started during my senior year of high school, right before graduation. My friends and I went to Hermann Park to take our graduation photos, and one of my friends let me borrow his camera. At the time, I didn’t know anything about camera settings or photography techniques, but I remember how much I enjoyed the experience.
A few years later, I decided to buy my own camera. I began practicing by photographing my friends, who often modeled for me. I still remember my very first official photoshoot a maternity session. That experience made me realize how much I loved capturing meaningful moments through photography.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Overall, it has been a smooth road, but at the beginning, things were a bit challenging. I didn’t have much knowledge about photography, and finding clients was difficult at first. However, with time, dedication, and experience, everything started to fall into place — and I’m very grateful for how far things have come.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
Well as you know I’m a photographer.
I’m specialize in Maternity sessions ,Birthdays kids/adults. Couples and lifestyle.
Im proud of my self! Why ? Because I was a really really shy person. The night before I would be so scared of what should I tell my clients , what should we talk about . All little things like that.
But all my shyness went away , and I’ve met a lot of people that they turn into friends.
Where do you see things going in the next 5-10 years?
Honestly, I think photography is going to keep changing a lot in the next few years. AI and new editing tools are already making things faster, but I feel like it’s also pushing photographers to focus more on creativity and storytelling.
People are starting to love more real, natural photos — less posed, more emotion. I think that trend’s only going to grow. And since social media and video content are such a big part of everything now, I see more photographers branching out into short videos and branding work too.
Overall, I think the future’s exciting — it’s all about being creative, adapting, and finding new ways to connect with people through your photos.
