Today we’d like to introduce you to Hafsa Gillani.
Hi Hafsa, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start, maybe you can share some of your backstories with our readers.
Hello! I am a real estate agent passionate about helping everyone purchase their perfect home! Whether it’s your first time, you’re looking to upsize or downsize or you’re looking to invest, I’m the girl for you! I started out in the insurance business writing home, auto, and special lines. From there, I attended culinary school and also became a flight attendant, which I still am on the side. I believe that with anything that I decide to do, I give it 110%. My inspiration is my mom, who has been a realtor for over 10 years now. In her first few years, she consecutively achieved the Rookie of the Year awards while being a single mom of 4. To make things even more difficult, she is a first-generation immigrant who decided she would take her life and success into her own hands and made it happen. She is now thriving as a dual-licensed agent in Arizona and Massachusetts.
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
Everyone sees successful agents and assumes that it’s the easiest job in the world. What they don’t see is the hard work and perseverance it took to get to that level. And I’m no exception. I remember when I first started out, there was many times where I felt like I just wanted to quit. I did all the right steps, hosted showings for other agents, handed out flyers, business cards, and goodie bags, and went to the socials. It felt like nothing was working. I kept telling myself that as long as I stay the course, it will get better.
And it did! The lesson I learned is that nothing that is worth it comes easy.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I am a real estate agent for the state of Texas, specializing in the Greater Houston and surrounding areas. I am able to help you or your business purchase, sell, or lease homes, apartments, and businesses. If it has to do with a building of some sort, I can most likely help you with it. Real estate is one of the more rewarding careers I have had because it allows me to help people with their future. Buying a home or business is an investment that should be within reach for everyone, and I love being able to make that happen.
I also have fun helping people from all walks of life because everyone has a unique story. What helps me accomplish that even better is the ability to speak not only English but also Urdu, Hindi, Spanish, and (process of learning) Japanese.
What was your favorite childhood memory?
My favorite childhood memory is going to a taping of the TV show Deal or No Deal because my mom was a contestant on it.
