Hi Lily, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
My name is Lily Crump, I am a Venezuelan American with more than 17 years in USA. I am a Wedding and Event Expert with over 10 years of experience in the Wedding and Events Industry. CEO of LC Bridal & Event Company, LLC; and Rosa de Café Florist. Wife and mother of two children. Certified by Lovegevity University of California and Certified Floral Designer by Preston Bailey.
I also hold 4 International Specializations as Destination Weddings Specialist, Corporate Events Specialist; Official and Corporate Protocol, all endorsed by the Event Management Center Institute based in Medellín, Colombia and the Universidad de la Vera-Cruz Zacatecas, Mexico.
As a Wedding Designer, I have had the opportunity to work in Los Angeles, California, with Wedding and Event Producer Kevin Lee. He has created productions for celebrities such as Barack Obama, Brad Pitt, Oprah Winfrey, Tom Cruise, and Kim Kardashian. I worked with Kevin in 2018 to execute the wedding for Hollywood director Quentin Tarantino and other luxury weddings in California.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Building LC Bridal and Event Company has been very challenging; I invested a lot of emotion, time, and money in training and advertising, which was not always successful. During the early years of my company, I was still blessed by both of my parents; they were up in age but still active. As they aged, their health declined, and they started having lots of health issues. I had a lot of pressure worrying about them and trying to support my clients. Professionally, when interacting with my clients, I could not show my emotions; I always had to be upbeat and excited for my clients. My problems are for me only, but my client’s wedding problems are my problems, too, so the road to success was not easy.
Having a wedding is a very special time in a couple’s life, and as a wedding planner, you make their dreams come true to the best of your ability. Preparing the design and venue, ensuring all aspects of the wedding are complete and ready for this important event. I have also expanded into the Floral business; my floral company is named in honor of my mother, who passed away while I was setting up one of my events. Rosa de Cafe Florist is an online business concentrating on arrangements for important events. This business allows me the opportunity to add some special WOW factors for my weddings. It is very gratifying to see the bride cry because we went above her expectations.

My business started from a small beginning, designing or planning small events, like birthday parties for family members and friends. While attending wedding, I could see the bride frustration because something didn’t go well and I always said, my Company LC Bridal and Event was born with the vision to take out the frustration of a bride on her wedding day; this day has to be the happiest day of her life.
I’ve been preparing for many years to ensure that each of my clients has guaranteed satisfaction on their wedding day.
Making or creating a brand is not easy, you have to fight and work very hard, reinvent yourself, dedicating a lot time to each of my projects.
I have my heart set on growing my company’s reputation by building a worry-free wedding experience for my clients. The best letter of recommendation is from a satisfied client.
Good communication, a lot of empathy, knowing how to listen and understand what the clients are looking for is important for successful wedding planning and designing. Taking what the client thinks they want and making it better than they can imagine.
