Today we’d like to introduce you to Ashley Buggs.
Thanks for sharing your story with us Ashley. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
For as long as I can remember, I have always wanted to be in the beauty industry and be an entrepreneur. As a child, I had few businesses. Then it wasn’t until I had been laid off from a few jobs as a young adult that I decided to live life on my own terms. I finished Esthetics school in 2005 and started out doing makeup and spray tans in Atlanta.
Later on, I decided to enrolled into Cosmetology school in 2014 and move to Houston once I received my license. A year after making the move, I opened Prettybuggs Brow Studio. But once I got settled in Houston, my love for makeup wasn’t the same. In my early teens, I developed a passion and a great eye for eyebrows, so I decided to make brows my focus. While having a good clientele base of eyelash extension customers.
I now own a Brow Bar that is growing every day and has had great success in a short time. When I’m not booked and busy in the studio performing services. I teach the Art of Brows Threading and Lashes to other beauty professionals to help them build thriving businesses through classes and workshops.
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road. In life, there are going to be ups and downs and unexpected problems that occur. I have experienced days where I wanted to quit but I’m grateful I persevered.
So, as you know, we’re impressed with Prettybuggs Brow Studio – tell our readers more, for example what you’re most proud of and what sets you apart from others.
We are proud to specialize in brows by restoring them, reshaping, growing them out, and giving them the proper trim that’s needed. We take our time with each client because every hair counts. So, when customers come in wanting quick and fast brows that they get at the mall. I have to explain that brows are an art and at Prettybuggs Brow Studio, you will realize just after one visit that we are serious about brows. We take pride in raising the bar and making eyebrows a luxury service. We plan to expand the business to Los Angeles and to Orlando to start building more of a platform to be the next big Brow Brand and Stylist working with some of the best in the industry.
So, what’s next? Any big plans?
We plan to add new services, hire staff, and one day be a franchise beauty business.
