Meet Ciara Simone of Saditty Krownz

Today we’d like to introduce you to Ciara Simone.

Hi Ciara, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
Hello Everyone. I am a licensed Hairstylist out of Missouri City, Texas. I Graduated with my cosmetology license in 2014 From Regency Beauty School In Pasadena, Texas and graduated as A 2x’s Master Student.

I got started in the hair industry because growing up at just the young age of 3 and 4 I use to watch my mother do hair. Hair was something I was born into. My grandmother who is now deceased use to do hair in Dallas, Texas she did the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders hair and High End Doctors hair, so I have always been around hair my entire Life. My mom Always told me that when I was 5 she purchased me a Kenya Doll an I would watch her braid her clients and then I use to braid my baby dolls hair just like her clients hair. Until this day I am still a visual stylist.

Once I graduated high school in 2007, I use to stay with a friend and I use to always tell her that I wanted to do hair full time and quit my job. So they had a popular site people us to purchase all type of services from called Craigslist. So, I made me an ad for hair services for as little as $45 dollars for a sew in and less than 24 hours of having the ad up I had my first 2 bookings. From me posting on Craigslist for about 3 years I had gained hundreds of clients and I was doing hair out of my bedroom. To this day I still do a lot of those women hair and I appreciate them so much for sticking by me through everything.

How I got to the place where I am at today, being an owner of my Salon and Brand “Saditty Krownz” is Because after I had my son in 2017 hair went under for me, like I hit rock bottom and I just wanted to give it all up. I felt like my availability after having my first child had changed, so my business went down until about 2019. But, I had knew times had changed and had to come up with something different to get their attention again an rebuild what I had lost. So, I had a sit down with my mentor/sister in law and My Boyfriend, they are both always so supportive in everything that I do. I was like I need a New Business Name And I had a vision that I did not just want to focus on weaves, but showing my clients that I care about the natural hair that is underneath their weaves, which is most important. AT that point is when we put our heads together and came up with Saditty Krownz and The Slogan is ” Your Hair Is Your Krown”. Covid-19 really help me to gain knowledge on marketing tips on Social Media ( Instagram, Facebook, etc.), to help upgrade my brand even more. Since then I have launched my first Product the” Saditty Krownz Hair Potion” last year, But I will be relaunching it with a new look this November. There is a lot more things that I Have coming up like my 1on1 and Group Lace Frontal and Lace Wig Classes so Stay Tuned !!!!

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
No, it definitely has not been a smooth road at all. After I went through that moment of wanting to give it all up after my son and those 2 very slow years of retaining clients. I had a vision out of know where and I knew that I had to keep pushing because I had a son and a family that I was going so hard for. But, no mater what struggles you have being an entrepreneur you have to keep pushing, never give up because if you know its for you that small business will become a big business one day.

As you know, we’re big fans of Saditty Krownz . For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
I have been doing hair over 25 Years and a licensed professional for 8 years. Saditty Krownz was est. January 2020. I specialize in Hair Extensions and Weaves and lately known for my Lace Frontal Installs and Half Up Half Down Installs… If you have ever sat in my chair than you know I am such a positive hairstylist even on my bad days I am always walking around with a smile on my face because I want to put nothing but positive energy into my clients and the people around me.

What do you like best about our city? What do you like least?
What I like best about our city is no matter what there is always something to do on every day and night of the week. If you want to have family night with the kids, Your friends, have a girls night out, date night or step out for a night of dancing there is ALWAYS something to do in Houston.

What I do not like about Houston is the Traffic. From about 4-6 pm I try to avoid certain freeways and areas because I do not like traffic at all.
