Meet Cole Shipley of Max Muscle Sport Nutrition in Galleria

Today we’d like to introduce you to Cole Shipley.

So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
I was in the U.S. Army as an infantry solider and was medically retired. I was then recruited to the oil field where I worked my way up from an mwd to a directional driller. After saving enough money, I was able to buy the Max Muscle sport nutrition store. My wife and I have been try to get the popularity up while balancing kids, a second job, and our new business.

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It has been a rough road. The previous owner lied about a lot of stuff and gave the store a less than great reputation. That we have had to repair and gain trust back. Its lucky we sell such a great product, people would still come in even though they didn’t care for the previous service. The store was very low on inventory sent the previous owner let over half the inventory expire. Doing a ton of marketing and like I said before. I work two full time jobs until we can get this store rolling.

Max Muscle Sport Nutrition – what should we know? What do you guys do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
Our business is focused on sport nutrition. We specialize meal plans, nutrition counseling, and supplements. We are known for our knowledge and friendly no pressure atmosphere. We are most proud of the quality of our product and customer feedback. What set us apart is we do not sell, we educate. We have the highest quality supplements that really work. We do meal plans and nutrition consoling the most other supplement shops don’t do. We also have an in body 270 scanner that can track your progress. It also tells you your weight, body fat percentage, body mass index, total water weight, dry lean mass, I could go on and on. It is a state of the art machine.

What moment in your career do you look back most fondly on?
The proudest moment is when my wife got her nutrition coach certification. She came into the business know very little and has turn very knowledgeable.
