Today we’d like to introduce you to Jenny Wang.
Thanks for sharing your story with us Jenny. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
I was born and raised in Beijing, China. I came to the States in 1991. I graduated from the Hilton College of Hotel & Restaurant Management of University of Houston as a Bachelor of Science. I took one semester of Graduate program and decided to quit. I worked as a manager in various restaurants after college. I was terribly worn and bored with the restaurant business. I then jumped into Real Estate after some sphere of influence talked me into it. I was licensed in 2002. After 16 years of being a REALTOR with RE/MAX Metro, earned RE/MAX Hall of Frame awards & Top Producers & many other honors, I decided to go on my own at the end of January 2018. I became a Broker/Owner of JWang Properties around Thanksgiving time in 2018. In January 2018, I also launched JWang Media, a custom video production to promote Real Estate business.
Along my real estate career growth, here are some highlighted community work I did: President of HOA of Southpoint Townhomes 2008-2017. President of Women’s Council of REALTORS Houston 2016. I’m a supporter of Houston Ballet as an Ambassador on Ambassador committee. I was doing Ballet through my teen years. When I was in University of Houston, I took Ballet classes and Modern Dance classes. They invited me to join the U og H performance group. I declined it. I just wanted to graduate. Now looking back, what was I thinking?! I have one husband and two little dogs. Other than devoting myself into my family life, running business, I enjoy making videos, wine, reading, travel. I’m currently working on a novel, write when I have time.
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
No, it’s never a smooth road. Struggles can be:
— Not generate enough leads;
— Cash flow. No closing, no income. Closings are never on a regular basis, but bills are on a regular basis.
— Market condition: houses selling are slow. Inventory are not moving. Buyers are not buying because the “consumer confidence.”
— Sellers tend overprice the house. Buyers tend to low ball offer on the purchase.
— As a broker, not recruiting the right agents as desired.
So, as you know, we’re impressed with JWang Properties – tell our readers more, for example what you’re most proud of as a company and what sets you apart from others.
JWang Properties provides One Stop Real Estate service, residential and commercial. Jenny offers customized strategies and Services Plans tailored to each client’s individual Real Estate needs.
Through innovative system and custom video production, JWang Properties Brokerage advances REALTORS to be Top Professionals and Leaders in our industry.
JWang Media is a custom video production to promote REALTORS. Through storytelling, we transpire image, deliver message and inspire our fellow REALTORS to be the leaders in our industry.
— I specialized in “problem-solving.”
— I’m proud most is that I’m building a new concept of Brokerage: An Agency without walls. An Agency can deliver vivid images to our real estate industry. I tell a story to promote our listings. There is nobody else doing what I do at the present time in our market.
That sets me apart from others. Can get on camera to present our listing project. I produce a quick fun video to deliver the message.
So, what’s next? Any big plans?
— Immediate future is having my fiction published. Looking forward to that;
— Hire a great license assistant, then office manager to grow the brokerage.
— Train our agents to become more successful.
— Have more market share in our real estate industry.
