Today we’d like to introduce you to Steve Davis.
Steve, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
I was a health club manager when they cut my pay by $20,000 a year after winning a national sales contest. This made me feel like I had no control over my life. I burned through my savings and ended up with bad credit. I decided to look for another way to make money. I had always dreamed of being a real estate investor, so I bought every book and program I could find on the subject. I went in debt about $30,000 to do this. It was worth it. Within three years, I quit my job to go full time into investing. I started with single-family and ended up invested in over 4000 apartment units. For the last 30 years, I have been a mentor helping other people achieve the same thing by investing in real estate. I have also been on the radio for over 17 years, teaching people how to take control of their financial destiny using real estate.
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
The big challenges all came before I started investing in real estate. I started investing with no money and bad credit. No harder way to start. My career as a real estate investor has been very smooth.
Please tell us about your work.
We are a mentor and consultant group with over 50 years of experience. We take people by the hand, step by step through the real estate investing process helping them build wealth and passive streams of income with real estate. This allows our members to live more balanced, happy and joyful lives. We use real estate to build permanent, residual income that comes in for the rest of our lives. The goal is to have enough passive income that it meets and exceeds your monthly wants and needs. I am most proud of my mentoring and helping people achieve a lifestyle that most people only dream about.
So, what’s next? Any big plans?
Our home office is in Houston, but we will be opening offices in DFW, Phoenix and Atlanta in the coming years.
