Today we’d like to introduce you to Gavin Jones.
Gavin, please kick things off for us by telling us about yourself and your journey so far.
I enjoyed drawing and coloring as a child. I still find joy Sketching on walls and in magazines advertisements. I stopped making around seventh grade because I believed that it wasn’t “my thing” and I should leave art to illustrators with more skill. About 5-6 yrs ago, while on impulse, I decided to grab some paints and canvas to stave off overthinking. I found the process of making art to be meditative therapeutic, and playful. I made a couple of paintings that I loved, and a few family friends agreed! I’ve been obsessed ever since!
Can you give our readers some background on your art?
I am a free form expressionist, and I create shapes and forms at the moment through improvisational painting techniques. I work with discarded materials and experiment with many mediums from Plexiglass/cardboard to Fine Art prints. I hope people have a feeling viewing art. Visual Art can sometimes go unnoticed in spaces, so to have a viewer pause and feel something is an amazing gift. My artistic expression process has given me insights and freedom to autonomy. HMM. You should know my work comes from many experiences!
In your view, what is the biggest issue artists have to deal with?
Self Doubt we create anyway Though!

What’s the best way for someone to check out your work and provide support?
I completed a mural at the rooftop pool@ Ace Hotel, New Orleans. I use Instagram and Facebook to sell artworks
