Art & Life with Judith Medina

Today we’d like to introduce you to Judith Medina.

Judith, please kick things off for us by telling us about yourself and your journey so far.
I am Mexican, an only child, soul food, and eye candy, among other things.

Being raised by a single mother, meant life was always busy and on the go hardly ever stopped to smell the roses. That is how my love for photography started by capturing as much as I could while also being in the moment. Looking back at pictures and memories inspire me to continue to be a doer and be the best version of me.

Can you give our readers some background on your art?
My art are mostly candid pictures that capture the essence of a moment. I get inspired by nature and the actions in the moment, whether it’s pictures that takes you to a happy place or a picture that makes you react, reconsider and or stand up for what you believe. I hope the people that see my art get that a reaction, it might not always be a smile but simply a reaction that inspire them to act.

What would you recommend to an artist new to the city, or to art, in terms of meeting and connecting with other artists and creatives?
Reach out, simply reach out! We often think we bother people by reaching out; most people just are too shy to do so. Artists are some of the kindness, welcoming people and simply reach out, what is the worst that can happen you get a “no” that’s okay! Reach out to someone else; the main things is to reach out.

What’s the best way for someone to check out your work and provide support?
As of now, I am only active on Instagram @heyjude_itsartsy
