Today we’d like to introduce you to Kayla Hernandez.
Kayla, please kick things off for us by telling us about yourself and your journey so far.
I started modeling about a year ago. I didn’t know anything when I first started and had made a profile on an online modeling site. From there, I had connections and then eventually through Instagram too. I’ve done so many shoots/runway shows now and I love every single part of it! I recently signed with an up and coming agency so I’m beyond blessed for all the opportunities that I get.
Can you give our readers some background on your art?
The type of modeling I do varies. I can do commercial, fashion, swimsuit, runway, etc. I love having a different variety of expertise so that I’m not just doing one type of style. The message I hope people take away from my modeling is that I always try to be different and have a unique look every time. I hope people look at my modeling photos and get inspired somehow.
How do you think about success, as an artist, and what do quality do you feel is most helpful?
I define success as having an impact on others. If someone gets an idea from a type of shoot, I did, then that is an accomplishment. The quality that I think that is essential to an artist is to be fluid and open minded. You have to want to take a risk and try different things!
What’s the best way for someone to check out your work and provide support?
I mainly show my photos through Instagram (kayla____jo) & Model Mayhem. I haven’t formed a website yet, but once I do, I hope to reach a wider audience.
