Today we’d like to introduce you to Marcus-Jamal Gray.
Marcus-Jamal, please kick things off for us by telling us about yourself and your journey so far.
My story started back when I was in college for Mass Communications. My media class had us create a music video, so I started doing research on music videos and came across an artist name Creative Ryan. I fell in love with his work and thought to myself I would like to create art like that and make people feel the way I felt when I looked up his work.
Can you give our readers some background on your art?
My art comes from the mood I’m in at the moment I think of an idea. I want people to feel a certain type of way when they see my photography. I want people to be like yeah, that’s “ijvisualz work right there.”
How do you think about success, as an artist, and what do quality do you feel is most helpful?
How do I define success, thats a good question. I define success as whatever goals I set, and I achieve them no matter how big, or small they are, that’s success. You achieve your goals you are successful. The most important characteristic I feel is essential to success is Confidence, the reason why is because if you don’t believe in yourself or your work, then no one else will.
What’s the best way for someone to check out your work and provide support?
