Today we’d like to introduce you to Paul Latino.
Paul, please kick things off for us by telling us about yourself and your journey so far.
I believe each of us is called to a specific vocation in life. I also believe each of us is given the passion, drive, and talents required to respond to that call.
Since early childhood, I’ve been imbued with a love of all things artistic. Drawing, animation, music and film have always played prominent roles in my growth as a creative. This passion manifested itself in my pursuit of as many art classes as possible through grade school and high school followed by a university major in Studio Arts. It was after my formal education, and for the next 15 years, that I was thrust into the world of design, photography and cinematography – melding my lifelong experience of traditional art technique with the modern and technological applications of branding, advertising, and creative communication. Now, as the owner of a creative agency, I rely on these past experiences to propel me forward while continually learning – and being guided to – where it is I am called to be.
Can you give our readers some background on your art?
In many ways, I am drawn to people. In childhood and beyond, my go-to pieces of art were usually portraits. The human person, I believe, is the most beautiful creation on Earth. I love the beauty of each individual – inside and out. Therefore, to feebly try to replicate the beauty of this creation in some artistic expression is a humbling experience. Even when designing a logo, what’s important to me is the client behind the logo and their story. Whether digitally painting a representational portrait, producing a commercial photo shoot, filming a promotional video for an organization of great cause, or strategizing with a new company to find their brand identity, I suppose a love of people expresses itself in some way throughout all my creative works.
What would you recommend to an artist new to the city, or to art, in terms of meeting and connecting with other artists and creatives?
My advice to other artists (and myself) is not to compare yourself to others. If you believe you are doing what you are called to do, there is no reason to doubt your place and your work. Seek out others to grow, learn and collaborate, but don’t feel like you need to measure up to anyone else’s standards. Contacts will be made in the right time.
What’s the best way for someone to check out your work and provide support?

Because I care wholeheartedly for the success and satisfaction of my clients, the best way me to share my art and grow my business is via word of mouth referrals from happy people.
