Check out Amanda Eubank’s Artwork

Today we’d like to introduce you to Amanda Eubank.

Amanda, we’d love to hear your story and how you got to where you are today both personally and as an artist.
I was born in New Orleans and raised in the south, I split my time between Houston, Texas and the beautiful beaches of the Emerald Coast (Destin, FL). We were very blessed to call Destin, Florida home the last decade but never got over our hunger for great Texas food. Literally! As beautiful as the Emerald Coast is we decided to relocate to Houston and we now Summer in Destin. For us and my clients it is a WIN WIN. Especially for those who can’t make it to the beach that year.

Ever since I can remember, I have always had a camera in my hand and knew early in my life that photography was my destiny. I now walk around my own home looking at the memories that have been captured, printed & hung on our walls.

We’d love to hear more about your art. What do you do you do and why and what do you hope others will take away from your work?
I am a story teller, a memory documenter & a “wall art” creator!. There is no greater joy for me than year after year documenting the beauty of this world. To be a quiet observer and capture emotions and moments through my art is such an honor for me. To be a photographer is not a job but a true joy. I love to tell stories with pictures and express the moment where there are no words that can describe what an image can convey. And to finish it off by printing it to hang on client’s walls for them to see every day. This is why I love photography & being a photographer.

Have things improved for artists? What should cities do to empower artists?
Well… I can only speak to my fellow peers in the photography industry. In my opinion, conditions have become increasingly difficult over the years. In today’s marketplace your social media reach is more important than ever before. It is the new norm and we must learn to adapt or get left behind. A creative’s work can be may amazing but if people don’t see it, the world will never know how much beauty it truly has in it.

I have to say that Houston is an amazing place to live and work. I just moved here from a little beach town last year so it has been a wonderful change. I love how much art & culture there is in the city. From what I have experienced everyone seems to help one another.

Do you have any events or exhibitions coming up? Where would one go to see more of your work? How can people support you and your artwork?
