Today we’d like to introduce you to Hassaan.
Hassaan, we’d love to hear your story and how you got to where you are today both personally and as an artist.
It all started after I saw a picture of a squirrel on a tree captured by a colleague. I was extremely impressed by that. After that, I decided to buy an SLR camera and work on my picture taking skills until I could take pictures as good as that one. My first digital SLR camera was an Olympus e410, which I bought refurbished from Adorama for $299 (that was the most I could afford at that time).
What began as a hobby- turned into a passion. The more I experimented and learned, the better pictures I took. I am happiest exploring new places with my camera in hand. I upgraded my equipment to a full frame Nikon camera and a couple of small yet very useful lenses. I feel that a good photographer must understand his camera and should know the limits of his equipment very well, to take better pictures, especially in difficult situations. I love capturing natural beauty as well as emotions and interactions that translate into stunning photographs. I’m still learning and I’m sure it’s going to be a long journey, but I’m glad I started it.
We’d love to hear more about your art. What do you do? Why? And what do you hope others will take away from your work?
I love traveling, and I love capturing landscapes. Other than landscapes, cities skylines, especially at night time, is one of my favorites. I do portraits as well but match less than landscapes.
I try to capture the scene from a different angle with a goal to include something unique that would leave an impression on the viewers.
What do you know now that you wished you had learned earlier?
It’s a long journey, and we all are learning, till the end.
