Today we’d like to introduce you to James Loyd Jr.
Hi James, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
I started off as Loydgifts in 2004. I was trying to think of a business that would help bring in extra cash to my household. After a divorce, child support and kidney failure I decided to change the name and the product I was selling. In 2009 I changed the name to Scentual Body Solutions and focused on bath & body type product.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
No, not smooth at all 2009 divorced and child support. 2011 kidney failure 2017 skin cancer 2018 transplanted kidney failed/still on dialysis today.
Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I had a lady making all my products she got sick, which forced me to make the majority of my products I’m proud I taught myself what to do. I’m known for making my customers smell great at the same time making their skin soft and supple. I believe what sets me apart is I really use fine ingredients and I try to fairly price them while giving great customer service.
What are your plans for the future?
I just got my LLC in Nov of 2020 I’m looking to grow pass operating in my home and add my daughter to the business.
