Hi Hoor, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Hey, I’m Hoor! I am a young girl-boss, creative entrepreneur with the passion to create and build Brands!
I am the founder of Hi-QWERTY studio – A creative studio with the promise to design and deliver strategic branding for ambitious entrepreneurs.
If you don’t start, you don’t succeed!
I have always been ambitious and a hardworking individual. If I start something I put a 110% into it. Going up and down the career ladder, I kept on asking myself what I was most passionate about. I walked many paths but none worked out for me.
In 2020, my family faced a hard financial loss. which led me to put my skills of graphic design to use. I started to freelance and even offer free work just to get my name out there.
End of 2020 and early start of 2021 I decided to start my own Graphic Design Business. I called it Hi-Qwerty. Qwerty being the top letters that make a word on the keyboard. I wanted it be fun, attractive and something similar to ‘Hey Siri’. I did not realize that my skills could be turned into a business and I found finally found my passion. Branding and Graphic Design for all entrepreneurs and businesses! This business is not inspired by anyone but feeling at peace with myself and excited by my work may seem a modest form of success, but it’s huge for me.
I started my Instagram page and posted regularly and started to get business. Some weeks were totally busy while some, nothing to do at all.
Believe me when I say this, I got support and appreciation from the most stranger and unexpected people and not from family and friends. Some family members may have discouraged me a little and I did take breaks due to this. But I still kept going for the appreciation I was getting from my clients.
For me appreciation > money. Appreciation has been a big factor in keeping me dedicated and motivated.
There are always going to hurdles in whatever you do. But you have to start and keep going. No one cares about you until you care about yourself. No one can make you happy, only you yourself can. I have and still am working my way up the ladder while being a wife and a mother. Do not let anything stop you. There will be people jealous and envious, who will discourage you. Don’t let it bother you!
Today, Hi-Qwerty Studio – Graphic and Web Design is a registered business, has regular clients and is growing every day. And I Hoor B. Kesaria, am proud of where I am today. I am proud of the direction my business is going in. Although located in Houston, Texas, I am getting clients from all over the nation. I do it all – from home. Get Clients, Design and deliver my services.
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
It was and is hard getting clients while working from home, and trying to juggle the roles of a wife and Mom at the same time.
I faced lack of creativity and dedication due to the unsupportive attitude from some people.
I have bettered myself and my skills over the years by reading countless books and taking creative courses! I want to provide my clients with the best services I can.
My style as a designer is diverse, as you will see on my Instagram page. I like to work with different businesses, from minimalistic brands to boujee brands!

Luck, eh? I don’t believe in Luck. I never won a bingo game or lottery and soon realized luck doesn’t play a part at all.
