Hi Joshua, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
First off, my name is Joshua Salazar. I’ve resided my life here in Houston, TX all my life. I’m 18 years old and want to become a music artist/producer. I do manage all aspects of my music distribution, artwork, etc. I was also born in poverty, so I just want to be able to make enough money from music to be able to provide for myself and my family. And to express my art through music.
We all face challenges, but looking back, would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
No, it has not. I have been through a lot of criticism and obstacles but I continue to push through. I’ve always had to turn to music due to the fact that it’s my “escape”. In actuality, it’s sort of like a different world I’m in when doing music and speaking out about my problems. I aspire for people to do the same and chase their dreams, so that people won’t have to go through what I did.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I’m the CEO of my Music Label: 22GlobalRecords™. I produce beats as well as record music. I consider myself doing everything to distribution all the way to promotion and etc. I also mix and master, and provide services for other artists who may need help.
What was your favorite childhood memory?
School was very interesting to me. To learn about different concepts and expand my mind to various knowledge was always ‘cool’ to me.
