Check Out Sarati’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Sarati.

Hi Sarati, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Born in College Station, TX, I moved to Los Angeles, CA when I was 16 years old to pursue entertainment. After years of struggling to get my name out there and going to hundreds of auditions…at 20 years old, I finally found my stride. I appeared in over 50 commercials with brands such as Geico, Wrangler, and McDonald’s. Shortly after, I started booking TV Shows. I was fortunate enough to have worked on shows such as Lethal Weapon, Fuller House, Dave, Tacoma FD, Stitchers, and Glee to name a few. Everything really started to change though when I booked the television show Deal or No Deal as case #12.

Around this time, I started to put more energy into my social media. I joined TikTok and started posting silly 15-second videos. Within a few months, I hit 1 million followers and knew that this could be something huge. In 2018, TikTok was not nearly as relevant as it is today though. So my goal was to continue building my TikTok following so I could grow on all of my other platforms. At this time, acting was still paying my bills. Within a year of growing my following though, that changed. Social media was making me more money than any other acting job I was doing. In early 2020, I joined Snapchat and within a month I had 100,000 subscribers. I was posting daily on 3 platforms and my numbers continued to grow. Once the pandemic hit, content creators’ numbers started to skyrocket because everyone was consuming content all day in quarantine. This allowed me to leave Los Angeles with confidence and move to Houston, TX where I could do social media full time from anywhere. Cut to today, I post 20-30 videos on 5 platforms daily. I have amassed over 12 million followers and have made my social media brand a full-time business. I launched my app, SaratiBody, last year and have loved being able to help people with their health and fitness. While social media and content creation was never my plan, it has become a lucrative business that I am so grateful for.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Being a content creator was never my plan, it just happened. I will be writing a book one day about my time in LA, the details of my upbringing, working 3 jobs, struggling to make money, managers taking advantage of me, the eating disorder I had from ages 16-19, having absolutely no friends growing up, and more. For now, I will just say that it was definitely not a smooth road and I have gone to therapy to help cope with those dark times in my life. With all that said, I am so blessed and happy to be where I am at today.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I am a full-time content creator and own the fitness app, SaratiBody.

I specialize in social media, marketing, advertisements, health and wellness, and digital marketing consulting.

With my brand, I am most proud of what I have been able to build in the last 3 years of being on social media. Most people have the capability to post every day, but what sets you apart is WHAT you post. Somehow I have figured out a way to engage with and relate to millions of people around the world.

It has truly changed my life and I’m forever grateful for their support and love.

Before we go, is there anything else you can share with us?
I cannot talk about the Sarati brand without mentioning my husband, Jesse Callahan. He is my biggest support system and I would not be where I am at today without him. He manages the entire business side of my brand from endorsement deals to all things financial. You are only as good as the team you have behind you, and he has played a major role in keeping everything running smoothly.
