Community Highlights: Meet Kirk Moore of Kastral

Today we’d like to introduce you to Kirk Moore. 

Hi Kirk, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstories.
It all started when I was a young boy growing up in Houston, Texas. My parents taught me the value of hard work and determination, so it was no surprise that my entrepreneurial spirit began developing early on. 

I quickly found out that if I wanted to make something of myself, I had to take risks and be creative – two qualities which have served me well since then. After working for many years in supply chain management, I decided it was time to take the plunge and start my own company. This is how Kastral was born! 

At first, we focused mainly on designing t-shirts but soon realized there were bigger opportunities available in the marketplace. We began branching out into producing bags, and “Her” T–shirts, and other products with our unique designs printed on them – items people could proudly wear or use every day. 

Before long, word about us spread across the internet as more customers discovered our innovative designs and products with quality customer service, both online through our website as well as through brick-and-mortar stores we partnered with throughout Texas. 

Today Kastral is a thriving business based right here in The Woodlands where we design all kinds of products like t-shirts, gear, bags, coffee mugs, and more – always striving to meet customer demands while staying true to our core values of creativity & innovation along with dedication & hard work! 

We just recently launched our own line of small-batch coffee. We are always looking to grow and expand our offerings. We believe in great design, great products, with excellent customer service. We always offer free shipping! 

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Looking back, would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Kastral was an ambitious dream of mine, and the journey to get it off the ground wasn’t easy. I had grand visions of creating a revolutionary new brand. But before we could even begin to realize our dreams, we had to overcome some significant obstacles. 

One of our biggest hurdles was financial. Kastral needed capital investment in order for us to move forward with development and implementation on a larger scale. Because this was a relatively untested technology, venture capitalists were reluctant to provide funding without seeing proof-of-concept firsthand, which meant we had to finance everything ourselves out of pocket. Despite setbacks like these, though, I never gave up on the vision for Kastral and pushed onward until it became the success story it is today! 

The next challenge was finding talented personnel who shared our passion for innovation and creating something from nothing. Although there were plenty of qualified individuals out there, they often came with hefty price tags attached – so much so that hiring them seemed impossible considering our limited budget at the time! After months of searching high and low across various job boards and recruitment agencies, however – not only did we manage to find some incredible talent who believed in what we were doing; but because they also saw potential in Kastral’s future success – they agreed to work ‘pro bono’ until such times as when money started coming through! That kind gesture allowed us to take those crucial early steps towards making Kastral become reality quicker than if relying solely on external funding sources alone! 

Alongside these challenges (and many more) over time have been successes too: from customers shopping with Kastral daily nationwide, recruiting top-tier talent, gaining recognition…the list goes on – all culminating into one big success story for everyone involved with building & launching this amazing brand – showing that hard work really does pay off eventually!!! 

Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
At Kastral, we exist to provide great designs and products that empower people to be and feel their best. We all have different individual passions we pursue and live out. However, most of us can connect with others about living our best lives in a way that highlights having Fun, Hard-work, Individuality, Kindness, Love, Respect, & Responsibility. As Texans, we believe in building a community around these values inspires people to be their best selves in their own unique way. 

Our headquarters is located in The Woodlands, Texas. We are Proud Texans. 

Our journey is to create Goods for people that inspire and empower. This is an endless process of evolving standards and goals at our Kastral HQ creative cave. It’s building a durable, responsible product and then resolving to do it better each time we give it a go. It’s not always easy. Hell, it’s rarely easy. 

When you purchase a Kastral product, you can rest easy knowing it’s been designed and manufactured with utmost care in lessening the impact on our environment. 

Is there anyone you’d like to thank or give credit to?
When I look back at everything that has brought us to where we are now, I can’t help but feel an immense sense of gratitude for all those who have been involved in making this possible. From my wife (Stephanie) and close friends to contractors I’ve worked with the past couple of years and other professionals whose services have contributed greatly towards our success – they deserve much credit for their efforts. It really takes a team to pull this off. I’ve been blessed to work with folks who have bought into my vision and helped make it a reality. 

I know it wouldn’t have been possible without them; they were essential pieces to this puzzle that only came together when each one lent his or her talents and expertise to building Kastral from scratch until it became what it is today. It was truly a team effort with everyone playing an important role in making sure things ran smoothly throughout every stage process – whether it was designing new product features or delivering them to customers in a timely fashion – nothing fell through any cracks! 

But even more than that special group of people mentioned above, I must extend my appreciation to all Texans who have helped make Kastral so great by expressing their support for us. From providing feedback on our products, which enabled us to improve them further upon customer satisfaction levels as well as spreading word about us amongst their own networks so others could learn about Kastral too—we owe a huge debt of gratitude to all Texans everywhere who had played such an integral part in helping build up this incredible business venture right here within our state borders! 

In closing, there really aren’t enough words to express just how thankful we are at Kastral for having such wonderful individuals join us on this journey–a journey that has led us right up until the present day, where we proudly stand as one shining example out there living proof that anything can be achieved if you put your heart into something wholeheartedly and believe you can do it… no matter where you may live!
