Today we’d like to introduce you to Parthiv Mehta.
Hi Parthiv, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
So looking back, it’s been a wonderful journey so far and I am grateful to everyone that has played a huge part in my story in the past years. I graduated as a general dentist in India in 2007 and came to study MPA to USA in 2008. While studying for MPA, I was still volunteering and observing dentists in NY, NJ and helping out whenever I could and on the side, started studying for dental boards along with my master’s program. Fortunately I cleared the boards in first attempt and got accepted at NYU college of Dentistry and even before I could blink my eye, I graduated with DDS in 2013. Ever since graduation, Texas has been my new home. We started Charm Dental in 2017 to have the opportunity to provide quality dental care to the patients in Spring, woodlands and humble area. And since then, it’s been an amazing journey and can’t wait to continue living the dream.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Just like any other journey, there were a lot of bumps and roadblocks but than what’s the fun in living the journey if it’s a smooth road ahead haha. As an immigrant, I have had to deal with a lot of immigration struggles-some of which still persist even today. There were challenges in personal and professional life but nothing that can stop me from doing what I love to do
We’ve been impressed with charm dental, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Charm dental was initially established in 2017, a month or so before hurricane Harvey hit Houston. We started with a team of 3 -dentist, assistant and front desk and today we have been fortunate to have a team of 20 plus hard working Dental staff that are dedicated in making our company what it is today. What makes our offices stand out is the attention to details as well as the ability to offer top notch care to our patients. Our offices are equipped with top of the line dental equipment that makes diagnosis as well delivery quality care much more affordable for our patients. And the fact that we do almost all specialty dental care under our roof is one the biggest practice builders and saves patients the hustle of moving from one doctor to another. Whether you need teeth whitening or implants, root canal or wisdom teeth, invisalign or braces – our offices are capable of offering them all under one roof.
If we knew you growing up, how would we have described you?
As a kid, I was super shy and nerdy. My family was huge into sports and education and so growing up I used to played cricket for the state team as well as did competitive swimming. Occasionally I would play tennis as well. I did not grow up in the most financially stable family but my parents had a huge part in giving the several opportunities to learn and grow within their means and I will never forget the struggle they lived to make me who I am today
