Hi Samuel and Morgan, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
The vending bug first bite Sam in 6th grade. That was in 2001. He’s always had an entrepreneurial spirit and a driving hustle.
“I’ve always had an issue with gurus that focus and highlight their destination but never showcase the journey.” said Sam.
After returning to the world of vending at the start of the pandemic Sam and his wife Morgan have created 4 separate entities that are vertically integrated within the vending industry.

* there is then vending brokerage where they buy, sell, flip & broker vending opportunities and investments.

* Most recently created a solution for those wanted to passively invest into vending without physically being involved.
Sam & Morgan are serial entrepreneurs with a portfolio comprising of necessity based businesses & investments such as short term rentals, real estate acquisitions and dispositions, trucking and logistics management, and now 4 vertically integrated entities in the vending business industry.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Absolutely not!! The biggest reason for starting our academy is when every saw us pop up with vending machines, they wanted to know how they could do it too. There was really no assistance upon my first introduction into the business. The same can be said when we re-visited it in 2020. So granted we bumped our heads a lot. We lost money. We bought lemon (bad machines). Everything experience was a lesson in some way for us to learn what was working and what was something we never needed to repeat again.
To this day, the most repeatedly heard question is “How do I get started?”. So as with everything we are presented with we identified an opportunity to add a competent to the business by teaching the game too.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
Assets Rule Vending is a full service vending group comprising of a vending service, educational academy to teach others how to get into and be successful in the business, a brokerage to make those vending opportunities more readily available, and an automation/management component to give those that want the chance to profit from vending without physically having to ever be involved.
The brand, “Assets Rule”, literally means Assets Rule Everything Around You! This business specifically is recession proof and pandemic proof if you follow our strategies. While many of the veterans in the business took the pandemic as an opportunity or sign to run out of a burning building, we mounted up and ran in. The timing and alignment couldn’t have been better because it exposed so much in a short period of time we learned from with everything being shut down in the city.
We are known for being the couple that took a $300 investment in the middle of the pandemic and turned it into a 6 figure business, then turned around and began teaching others from our wins and our losses.
What makes us most proud brand wise is our growth. Most people see something shiny or trendy, then they start and in a couple months they are on to something else. We stuck with it, even when it sometimes didn’t make a lot of sense, we stayed to figure it out.
There is a lane in this multi faceted business for everyone. You don’t have to get involved in traditional vending to make 6 figures in this business.
