Diana, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
I am from Venezuela with a degree on Graphic Design, but I have always loved flowers and the happiness they bring to any occasion. I started doing little events for friends and family but is on 2010 when I open my business and begun to take more risks. The beauty about this business is that you are constantly learning new things, new ways, new techniques with the purpose of a final look and the best part is definitely to see that smile of a happy customer.
Has it been a smooth road?
No, definitely it has not been an easy road, overall in the beginning when nobody knows who you are or if they can trust your work. So for me it is all about leaving a good impression to every customer showing that you listen to their needs and can work with their budget with a lot of organization, responsibility so they know they can trust you next time and most important, they could send you a referral.
So let’s switch gears a bit and go into Arte & Design story. Tell us more about the business.
We specialize on doing all floral design for any type of events, social or corporates. This is a business with A LOT of competition in this city, I am proud to say that even though we are a small company we provide a personalized customer service and it doesn’t matter if the event is big or small we meet our client expectations.
Who do you look up to? How have they inspired you?
To be 100% honest I don’t admire just one person. I always get touch and will admire all those women that don’t give up; that it doesn’t matter their circumstances they go beyond any excuse. All the hard workers, with or without kids, the ones with a strong discipline to wake up everyday and keep going; trying to be better than yesterday!
