Conversations with the Inspiring Jacqueline Sanchez

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jacqueline Sanchez.

Jacqueline, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
Jewelry has been one of those things I’ve loved since I was a kid, so my business just kind of happened organically. I opened up my Etsy shop right after I graduated high school with zero expectations. I hoped that at most I would get a sale here and there. As time went on, I began to take it more seriously and started to expand my knowledge about the jewelry industry. I’m continuously learning more with each day, but I finally feel like I’m in a place where I’ve really figured out what my personal style is and how I want my jewelry to represent that.

Has it been a smooth road?
I’ve had several moments where I’ve felt discouraged. It’s easy to get frustrated when your sales dip down or get wrapped up in what everyone else is doing. I think that the best thing you can do is just stay focused on yourself and understand that ups and downs are part of the process.

Please tell us more about your work, what you are currently focused on and most proud of.
I specialize in creating both every day and special occasion jewelry. My favorite part is always the design process, and I’m very proud to say that every piece is finished by hand. I think that customers can tell when a lot of love has gone into something and it makes it that much more special. We are currently working on adding a ring collection and I can’t wait for everyone to see the designs come to life. All of the rings are being manufactured here in the US with ethically sourced, recycled metals, and hand-selected gemstones.

Who do you look up to? How have they inspired you?
All of the women in my family inspire me, but I would have to say when it comes to being creative, it would be my grandmother. She was a seamstress and can make just about anything. I used to spend hours and hours in her sewing room when I was a kid. It’s one of my favorite memories from my childhood and I think that she’s probably one of the first people to spark any creativity in me.
