Today we’d like to introduce you to Kye Sampson.
So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
I am a ten year Houston Realtor with Intero Real Estate, and also the owner of Sampson Management Inc, located in Houston, TX.
I originally started my career as a Commercial Bank Manager and now serve as a Residential, Commercial Realtor and Investor. I currently serve on the Houston Association of Realtor’s Political Affairs Leadership Advisory. I have also served as a member of The HAR 2017 and 2018 Texas Real Estate Political Action Committee. I am a recurring contributor with HGTV and have been awarded as Top Producer, Executive Circle, Texas Real Estate Leadership Program along with Houston’s 40 under 40 Professional Women and Women on the Rise awards. Along with two features in the Houston Chronicle for 2018.
I love to volunteer and I am very passionate about service to others. I am also a proud mother and devoted wife. Going through the challenges of having a premature child being born at six months 1.lb 4.oz, I am teaching my now eight-year-old “Miracle” daughter Madison what it means to be an entrepreneur, strong woman and decision maker.
Madison and I have co-authored and published Madison’s first of five children’s books titled “MY Mirror and Me, I Can be anything I want to be” as seen on local media channels such as Fox News26. Madison and I have formed a nonprofit organization, which empowers children to create positive images of themselves and high self-esteem.
Has it been a smooth road?
The road has been paved with all sorts of ups and downs. Several hardships, moments of despair yet covered in joy and grace. However, I will say that along the way I’ve learned that my struggles are apart of my journey and not my destination. And everyone has a story, everyone has struggled but not everyone has triumphed. I believe that what you choose to do with your struggles help build who you are, and what you will become. I encourage other women, specifically young women not to give up on their dreams, which can be easier said than done and hard to understand especially when you’re in the midst of adversity. Stay focused, don’t compare yourself to others, most importantly stay in your own lane and don’t forget your ultimate goal. Success is not a short road but a long journey. A journey of hard work and dedication, sleepless nights, doubt and maybe sometimes fear. But that’s the joy of it all, setting your goals and then crushing them. Remember there is nothing wrong with delayed gratification. It’s okay to plant your seed, water it, and then allow it to grow into something bigger than you could have ever imaged.
Please tell us more about your work, what you are currently focused on and most proud of.
I manage a team of Realtors whom help service the Houston Real Estate Market. Whether a consumer is buying, selling, leasing, renovating or ready to start their investment portfolio, we’ve got them covered. I am most proud of my brand that is honest, solid and committed to providing the best customer service when it comes to all of your Real Estate transactions. Our philosophy is simple “Clients come first”, we stand by that! Not only are we committed to helping buyer and sellers, but we also service our community with countless volunteer hours and initiatives.
I would like to think that one thing that sets us apart is that we are a team built of very strong women, from all walks of life who are committed, resilient, tech-savvy and as caring as your next door neighbor. This unique dynamic is important to me because it’s authentic, it’s real and helps further a brand that you can love and trust with your most important life transactions.
For good reason, society often focuses more on the problems rather than the opportunities that exist, because the problems need to be solved. However, we’d probably also benefit from looking for and recognizing the opportunities that women are better positioned to capitalize on. Have you discovered such opportunities?
Yes, there are challenges, however I believe that women are well positioned for it all! I also believe that women of this day create their own opportunities as well as opportunities for other women. If a door is locked, closed, or slammed in our faces we kick it down, and build our own! That is what I see, so much women empowerment. It’s definitely inspiring.
